I make images that show that a simple everyday playful gesture can be completely imbalanced and askew. What looks like a mundane scene can be humorous and full of incongruity. As a child I was always trying to figure out was real or what was fabricated from my family, trying to distinguish between the two gave me a sense of polarity and isolation. Some of the questions I ask myself as I photograph: Should one never tell the truth or is the truth just an illusion?
